Competitions

I love entering competitions, it's a real buzz I've got to meet some nice people through doing so.

Find Me a Gift on Facebook always have great competitions and I like to enter them all.

Their latest is for an iPhone 5, their most expensive prize so far and of course, I've entered.  Along with most people, I'd love to win this prize.

You can also enter by using this link

Good luck everyone

The Past 7 Months

I haven't had the chance to sit down and write on my blog for a while now.

At the beginning of January this year I slipped my disc and it was sat directly on the already damaged femoral nerve.  This caused me overwhelming pain and now in July, I am only just getting over it.  I spent most of the time taking strong painkillers that gave me that 'drunk' feeling.

When I wasn't sleeping I was trying to distract myself by reading and social networking.

It was whilst on Facebook that I became aware of MagicFreebiesUK. http://www.magicfreebiesuk.co.uk/ This is a site that supplies links to companies who are giving away samples of their products as a sales and marketing technique.  I soon started to enjoy myself talking to other freebie finders.  I then started to send off for these samples and before I knew it little parcels started to drop through the door. (I have enough lipgloss to last me for years).  Its all a lot of fun and not to be taken too seriously.

We now live very rurally and our nearest city, Norwich, is some miles away.  This year, because of what has happened, I've only been able to get there twice, and I miss girlie shopping.  So the MagicFreebiesUK has also been my little 'fix'.

There are also companies out there who send you samples and ask that you review them on line for others to see.  I don't mind doing this.  If someone is going to send me something for nothing, the least I can do is say thank you and give them some sort of feedback.

I love shopping and I'm very 'girlie' and like to keep myself looking nice.  I'm going to be 50 in January, and I'm not going to grow old gracefully.  I look after myself and have been cleansing, toning and moisturising since I was 15.

I also like to be creative.  For the last two years I have been attending antique bobbin lace classes/mornings and I love it, but again, I had to take nearly 7 months out.  When you're making lace, you have to sit forward which hurts your back anyway, so I stood no chance with all that was going on with my back.

I also love to make sugar flowers and cakes, which again, I can do when I'm having a 'good day'.

As I go on with my blogging, I will go into more detail and post pics of some of the projects that I have made.

Well I'm going to sign off for now, but I'll soon start blogging and nattering away to, probably, myself.
